Dr. Jessica Barzideh is a Board- Certified Pediatric Dentist who believes in creating a fun and caring environment for her patients. She specializes in providing dental care for infants, and children through adolescence. Through each stage of her education Dr. Barzideh lived in a different part of the Northeast, however she was always drawn back to her “roots” on Long Island. Dr. Barzideh completed her undergraduate degree at University of Rochester and got used to shoveling mounds of snow. She pursued her dental degree at Temple University where she discovered her love for Philadelphia’s food scene. She completed her pediatric dental residency in Western Massachusetts at a health center affiliated with NYU Brooklyn. Living there she really enjoyed the fall colors and learned she was not a Red Sox fan! After many years, Dr. Barzideh has settled on Long Island and is a mom of two young boys. When she is not fighting cavities, she enjoys getting muddy in the garden with her kids, playing tennis, and taking road trips to explore new places.
Dr. Barzideh’s practice philosophy is centered on prevention and education. She focuses on taking her time to get to know every patient and family which helps her effectively treat each unique child. Throughout her training and career, she has gained extensive experience working with children with special health care needs. Dr. Barzideh has worked in private practice and as an attending teaching new pediatric dental residents at an NYU- HHC affiliate hospital. She enjoys working with future pediatric dentists and is invested in keeping up to date on current trends in pediatric dentistry. She is interested in sleep apnea in children and the preventative role pediatric dentists play in helping to address this. One of her favorite parts of being a pediatric dentist is observing once apprehensive kids grow into happy dental patients.
